Once reserved for the government and supercomputing environments, online data repositories are becoming a common phenomenon among enterprises. As storage continues to grow, need for new types of storages, apart from the cloud, has been constantly rising in demand and usage for the enterprise. The usage will broadly be used for Private Storage, Disaster Recovery, backup and archiving.  As more and more vendors roll out storage building blocks to create next-gen data center infrastructure, storage components are being intertwined with servers and network equipment in the rack.  Storage now has been networked and will be managed as a part of the whole rather than as a standalone Storage Area Network (SAN). Along with The near-term future trends (SAN), network attached storage (NAS) have become so widely used that it has become a bare necessity for organizations to store data.
