FLYdocs- Transforming Aircraft Record Management with innovative paperless solutions

By

Air traffic in India has inflated exponentially over the last five years both in terms of aircraft movement and passenger traffic. The compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of total aircraft movements was 3.3 percent and 5.6 percent for passengers during FY11 to FY14. In the next five years, the aviation sector is forecast to continue to grow in terms of the aircraft movements, passengers and freights. The operation of modern commercial air transports now increasingly also depends on digital systems for services - like autopilots operating on board. As in other areas of aviation, and to simplify maintenance operations, facilitate regulatory compliance and reduce costs, paperless technologies are also being incorporated into aircraft records management and fleet transitions [Aircraft Acquisitions, Sales and Lease Returns].

Paperless operations have the ability to deliver significant efficiency gains, but despite having a strong business case and the technology being readily available it still remains a challenge for the industry. Aiding airlines make the shift to digital from paper records is FLYdocs. FLYdocs developed their ground-breaking software in 2011.
