REZNEXT- TURNING THE SIMPLIFIED HOTEL DISTRIBUTION ENVIRONMENT DREAM INTO REALITY

By

While going through several hotels for my international trip, I came across websites that displayed reviews on prospective hotels. Going through them, I found that many travelers had commented that they were asked to wait while their room was being prepped. There were instances where the guests complained of having been taken to another hotel as the room was not free even though they had reserved it weeks before. This had me having second thoughts about choosing that particular hotel because a single glitch can ruin the holiday spirit.

Hoteliers depend on this unruffled and excited holiday spirit to survive and hence, it is of utmost importance that they own a simplified hotel distribution environment that seamlessly connects both the ends of the business – supply and demand real-time. Players like RezNext are redefining the hotel distribution environment today.

“We at RezNext intend to address this very need. Complexity in connections, time lag in data transfers, issues with end-to-end connectivity and lack of BI has hindered adoption of distribution technology,” says Avinash Lodha, CEO RezNext.

Headquartered in Bangalore, RezNext focuses on bringing simple open network based APIs for robust and seamless integrations that connect the supply and demand to the market real-time. Having demystified distribution with real-time business model and inbuilt revenue intelligence tools, RezNext has helped hoteliers maximize their online booking opportunity. The company’s distribution platform ReX allows end-to-end flow of rate and inventory updates across multiple channels in a matter of seconds while the sub second data transfer architecture facilitates clients to minimize response time to market demands. This further allows them to execute room restrictions, apply stop sells or launch a promotional rate quickly while improving distribution yield real-time.

In addition to this, the revenue intelligence that comes from quick analysis of real-time date covering rates across competition, current available rooms to sell and guest feedback helps hoteliers adopt a market oriented and profitable distribution strategy. With a 360 degree product suite comprising of distribution platform, rate shopper, booking engine, business intelligence, central reservation solution, revenue and reputation management solutions, and backed by excellent services delivery, RezNext has leveled the playfield for budget properties and high-end independent properties providing an equal opportunity to improve their online sales.

“Several budget hotels in metros and tier 2&3 cities have been able to get online for the first time easily and quickly utilizing our technology tools,” adds Avinash. With the purpose-built mobile application, RezNext further helps hoteliers stay in control and execute their distribution strategy seamlessly while on the move. RezNext’s distribution platform is engineered to help hoteliers improve their revenue by automating the entire booking cycle from the inventory/rate updates that happen in the front office system/PMS to it reflecting across all OTAs and with bookings flowing from the OTAs back into the PMS. Moreover, RezNext leverages inbuilt data-driven revenue intelligence to provide smart rate recommendations based on market rates, online reputation and current occupancy of the hotel. One of the main components of the company’s offering is real-time data intelligence that facilitates faster decision making. For instance, RezNext’s reputation management product enables hoteliers to highlight the major issues by drilling into the reviews to analyze and pinpoint the exact cause of dissatisfaction. This helps hoteliers provide exceptional customer satisfaction.

RezNext’s industry-leading revenue consulting and services help hoteliers efficiently identify existing gaps and opportunities in revenue strategy. By identifying weak demand periods, RezNext works closely with clients to chalk out plans around LOS promotions and special inclusions to generate demand. Furthermore, the services team looks into consumer data to plot out travel patterns and booking pace to determine the potential life time value of each customer segment. “Today, we are driving substantial increase to the top line revenues for several of our customers and are significantly contributing to improving their overall profitability,” adds the proud CEO.

ReV, yet another gem from RezNext’s basket of offerings, is adept at quickly analyzing copious amount of data while integrating with the front office system. Similarly, RezE, the booking engine from RezNext powers client’s websites thus helping them grow their direct booking revenue share. Additionally, RezE enables hotels to showcase live inventory while automating the booking process end to end. Moreover, RezE has a great UI and a 3 step booking process that helps consumers transact quickly and securely on the hotel’s website. Along the same lines, the advanced package functionality helps hoteliers chalk-out equally lucrative offers on brand website, add-on promotions and special promo codes easily.

‘De-burdening’ Clients with SaaS Based Solutions
With its entire suite of products based on Cloud, RezNext ensures that clients are not burdened with additional investment in technology infrastructure. The SaaS based solutions are priced under a pay-as-you-go model which gives hoteliers the required flexibility while enabling faster adoption.

“We have also been able to demonstrate the benefits of increased security, data back-up measures in cloud-based technology deployment vis-à-vis a client site deployed solution,” says Avinash.

Formulating Customized Marketing Strategies
Conducting frequent market researches, RezNext has come across strong patterns that indicate a consumer’s journey of booking also involves review of the hotel’s brand site irrespective of where the booking culminates. Imbibing this finding into solutions, RezNext’s website development team includes a device agnostic UI into the core of the product design. Similarly, the marketing team at RezNext formulates strategies to help hotels establish and maintain a great ranking position on search engine with SEO strategy and content marketing services. “We study a hotel’s offering, target segment, competition and the market opportunity to custom design a digital marketing strategy with the right channel mix for our customers,” comments Avinash. Moreover, RezNext is working with several aggregators in the market to organize distribution operations as they continue to increase their footprint across the country.

Looking ahead, the company is excited to expand into several new geographies with their channel partners. Having made inroads to Malaysia, Thailand and other South East countries, RezNext is prepared to strengthen presence in the Middle East, Turkey, Africa and the Indian subcontinent. Consonantly exploring opportunities in America RezNext views the next year crucial in transforming into one of the largest global player.
